I can't understand why?  I use winmodem (internal modem) but it works
without problem on kppp and send fax as ROOT (only)

I have another hard disc (removable) on this PC running WinXP.  The
winmodem works without problem in sending and receiving fax.

Anyway I will try to get an external modem to continue my test later.
